My alternate space is the public library. Like my first choice it seems like an enjoyable environment to spend some time at and gather research about the community there. I can foresee no complications with the limitations we have been introduced to, so it would be an interesting second choice.

My first choice in spaces would have to be the C.S.F. (Christian Student Fellowship) located here on campus. It meets all requirements for later aspects of this project and is easily accessible. I've heard this is an awesome community and have been meaning to check it out anyway, but this adds extra incentive to do so.

ReplyDeleteBoth of these sites are excellent options. My cautionary question about CSF is that if this is a site you possibly want to get into, will you be able to maintain the necessary distance from it to be analytical of it throughout the semester? One option to circumvent this would be to look at a group within CSF that you couldn't possibly be a part of. It seems like they have a lot of different groups, so as the project becomes more specific, you might choose to study a subgroup that you couldn't possibly belong to somehow (maybe gender or international groups). Just something to think about. But the choice is yours, as both are great ideas.
